Legendary former Manchester United Manager Sir Alex Ferguson won £50k for charity on the celebrity edition of “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.” Fergie, now a director with the Reds, answered eight questions correctly with football club fan Eamonn Holmes.
Sir Alex Ferguson and Holmes correctly named Norway as the country which halves tax rates in December so people have more money for Christmas. Interesting I didn’t know that.
Their winnings went up to £75,000 with that positive response, but they answered incorrectly on the ninth question. However, their winnings will benefit the Manchester United foundation. The segment appears scheduled to air on Christmas Eve. It’s the second of two celebrity segments, with the third airing on Christmas Day itself.

Sir Alex Ferguson won 38 trophies, 13 Premier League titles and 2 UEFA Champions League titles during his 26 years at the club.
