Paul Pogba arrived at Manchester United’s Carrington training ground today to begin his medical, which would then finalize a potentially world record transfer back to the club from Juventus. #Pogback then trended on Twitter worldwide for quite a bit.
Pogba, 23, left United in 2012, but the club announced yesterday that he was to have a medical and then bring closure to the deal. There have been conflicting reports on the exact transfer fee but most outlets have the amount in the £93-97 million (€110-114m) range for the transfer fee. Then you have the reported £20m (€23.7m) in agents’ fees to boot.
And thus, this deal would shatter the current world-record transfer fee of approximately £85 million, spent by Real Madrid and given to Tottenham Hotspur for Gareth Bale in 2013. Jose Mourinho made the most sense out of these fee amounts as anyone. (read more on that here)

“Football is crazy and the market has become crazy. What you think this season is crazy, you realize three years later it’s not crazy any more.
“There are players who cost £10m who are super expensive because they’re players [who are worth] £500,000 or £1m. What is expensive and not expensive in football? I don’t know any more. I just know he is a big player.”
Pogba is expected to be officially unveiled as a Red Devil again either tomorrow or Wednesday.
