Manchester United’s final fixture of the Premier League season, against AFC Bournemouth was cancelled today due to a security concern. A “suspicious package” found in the northwest quadrant of Old Trafford led to the evacuation of two main stands: the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand and the Stretford End about 45 minutes before kickoff.
Initially, fans inside the other areas of Old Trafford were allowed to remain inside the venue.
