Some Manchester United transfer talk on this Friday; focusing on Luke Shaw. He’s emerged as a high interest target. The Left Back has been linked to Manchester United in the past, but now it seems like the Red Devils have upped the ante.
The Daily Star claims that David Moyes is prepared to pay the 18-year-old a staggering £75,000-a-week to join United in the summer.
That would top the £60,000-a-week deals United’s Adnan Januzaj and Arsenal’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have signed as teens and see Luke Shaw almost quadruple his current Southampton wages.
Southampton have said he’s not for sale; at any price. However, this would be the highest contract for a teenager in Premier League history. Manchester United will get fierce competition from Chelsea to acquire Luke Shaw.
Luke Shaw signed a five year deal last July. However, it’s becoming clear that United will do whatever it takes to land him. In addition to Chelsea, they’ll have to fight off Manchester City who also are said to be in the race. Starsport believes that United are in the prime position to land Shaw, despite the fact that his parents live close to Chelsea’s training ground and he’s a Blues fan.
Luke Shaw made his England National Team debut Wednesday versus Denmark.
