Juan Mata is the subject of some of the latest Manchester United transfer rumors circulating in the Twitterverse, blogosphere, cyberspace and media world. With the club’s shopping now complete for the summer, thoughts and attention turn to who could be jettisoned.
Ever since Jose Mourinho arrived at Old Trafford, many believed that Mata would inevitably be out the door.
It’s probably not the case though. Press Association Sport, via ESPN FC offers this:
PA Sport also reports that Mata, sold by Mourinho during their time at Chelsea, looks set to stay Old Trafford, but Adnan Januzaj is likely to leave, although it may only be a temporary exit.
Januzaj, 21, returned early from an underwhelming loan spell at Borussia Dortmund last term and a season at another club is being considered.
Back on July 16th, shortly after training camp opened, Mata Tweeted pictures and emoji that indicated just how happy he is/was to be back training with United:

Anything major going on with Manchester United these past couple years and chances are Juan Mata has something poignant to say about it. Wayne Rooney is the Captain, and Michael Carrick the Vice-Captain, but Mata is very much indeed the players’ true spokesman. The blog that he updates on occasion reflects this.
As soon as Jose Mourinho took over, speculation loomed that Mata would be out the door. He didn’t fit in at Mourinho’s Chelsea, where he saw little playing time towards the end of his stay in Stamford Bridge.
He was then the only 2014 winter buy of David Moyes, coming over for a then club record fee of £37.1 million.
He’s been decent and solid at United, but not spectacular. He’s had his fair share of moments, but hasn’t always found himself in the United first team. Then of course, you had the embarrassing situation in the Community Shield this past Sunday. In spite of all that however, it seems we can put the “Mata is leaving” speculation to bed for the time being.
