Juan Mata had his Manchester United introductory press conference today, where we has joined by Manager David Moyes. We have the full video after the jump. Juan Mata says he’s very happy to complete his move to Manchester United. He was initially to wear the iconic #7 shirt with the Red Devils, but not it appears he will wear #8 instead. Juan Mata arrived by helicopter and has received a very warm welcome from United supporters over social media.
It’s very rare to have English Premier League players move domestically. And of course, he was signed for a record 37 million pounds, but Juan Mata welcomes pressure of being Manchester United’s record signing. Mata says he can cope with the pressure of becoming the Premier League champions’ record signing.
He was asked about how much the move to Old Trafford will help World Cup chances.
“It was really important as you know the Spanish team is very hard to get it, we are fighting for posiotion for the last 23, and I hope this wull be a chance to keep playing and showing them that I should be there, and need to be there,” Juan Mata responded.
Without further ado, here’s the Juan Mata video:
