There’s still plenty of Manchester United transfer business to discuss this summer; as it appears Manager Louis van Gaal is reshaping the back line. Jonny Evans, a very likeable Northern Ireland international, has been squeezed out. He was coveted by West Brom Manager Tony Pulis, and United reportedly (BBC Sport) has agreed to a deal with WBA (£6 million, plus £2 million in add-ons).
Evans was entering the final year of his contract this season.
In other news, United have agreed to send another defender out the door, Tyler Blackett. He’ll join Celtic on a season long loan claims the Daily Mail. Blackett, an England Under 21 international, has played 11 times for the United first team and can also boast loan spells at Blackpool and Birmingham.
Evans and Blackett join Robin van Persie, Nani, Tom Cleverley (who moved to Everton on a free) and Rafael as players who have exited Old Trafford this summer.
