The latest Manchester United financial reports are in, and the results of the 2014-15 fiscal year are not as positive as the results of 2013-14. In this fiscal year, the club are feeling the effects of missing UEFA Champions League last year. So you can thank David Moyes and the 7th place finish in 2013-14 for that.

United brought in a club record £433.2 million in fiscal 2013-14, but they saw that drop to £395.2 million in the fiscal season just reported.

It was the first season in a quarter of a century where United failed to qualify for the European Cup and that reduced their match day and broadcasting revenue totals.

However, there’s good news regarding United’s commercial revenue, which went up to £196.9 million. Sponsorship revenue soared to £154.9 million, both were club record highs.
As of now, shares of Manchester United PLC NYSE: MANU remain unchanged on the day, with a current price of $18.38 dollars per share. However, losing money, certainly in this magnitude is going to have adverse effects on the club. Manchester United Executive Vice President Ed Woodward made some remarks which would be the opposite of his famous “watch this space” comment.
Woodward warned of decreased transfer spending happening in the future.
