Time for your daily David de Gea update. It’s a a never ending soap opera like Arturo Vidal was last summer. Will he stay at Manchester United, or move to Real Madrid? Nothing is official yet of course, but here’s the latest headlines on the situation:
-(The Sun) Manchester United have asked David de Gea: “What more can we do to keep you?”
–Edurne Garcia, Spanish pop star and De Gea fiance, did a TV interview today in which she handled questions about herself, her dress and career with aplomb. For some reason, the broadcasting equipment seemed to work perfectly during this portion of the interview.
But when the TV presenter tried to broach the subject of her other half’s move to Real Madrid, she ducked the questions and then out of know where claimed she was having problems with her earpiece.

MADRID
Via the Daily Star:
Presenter Marilo Montero continued to press the issue and said: “Is he going to sign with Real Madrid?
There was a moment’s awkward silence before the singer replied: “The truth is I’m so happy to be here at Eurovision.”
She continued talking about the song contest and when the presenter tried to interrupt and ask again about De Gea and Real Madrid, she tapped her earpiece and retorted: “I can’t hear anything” before adding: “I’m here to talk about Eurovision and about my song. I’m one of the favourites.”
The presenter then asked one last time: “Would you like it if David signed for Real Madrid, yes or no? Is he going to sign today and will you be the first one he calls?”
But Edurne claimed someone away from camera was calling her, waved goodbye and darted off.
Seems very awkward, and handled extremely poorly. Edurne Garcia was not going to give out any more information about David De Gea’s future and her people obviously did not prep her at all for the interview.
