Daley Blind has been rumored to be out the Manchester United door this season. With the addition of four new players, it was a thought that a clear-out is to come. It hasn’t happened yet, but when it’s been speculated upon, the name Daley Blind has usually been on the short list.
Turns out the versatile defender and sometimes even midfielder is really happy at Old Trafford, and most likely staying put.
Early on, he’s been in great form too. Check out these stats.
New Inter Milan boss Frank de Boer believes his country man is truly happy at Manchester United. De Boer coached Blind for four years at Ajax prior to the 26-year-old’s move to United in the summer of 2014.
De Boer was asked yesterday about the idea of bringing Daley Blind with him to Serie A. De Boer shot down the transfer idea by saying:
“We have a lot of good defenders here, but we’ll see.”
“I like him as a player for sure, he’s fantastic. He is very happy at Manchester United though and played in the Community Shield.”
“Of course, any of my ex-players at Ajax are guys I like to keep an eye on and watch them very closely. I do the same with [Christian] Eriksen, [Toby] Alderweireld, all of those guys. I like to follow them and I do the same with Daley Blind.”
“I know his situation and I think he’s very happy and playing with confidence but we’ll see in the future.”
