Fox Sports Brazil “broke” the story on January 21st that Bayern Munich’s Dante has been signed by Manchester United. That’s not true. And it’s not a big deal as these things happen all the time, to all media outlets. Sometimes the gun is in fact jumped.

Today, Mirror Football reports that Dante has re-rupped with his current club.

Dante was quoted then: “I’m not yet a Manchester United player, But I appreciate United’s interest. We will have a decision by the end of the month.”

The Brazilian defender admitted in January that the Red Devils were trying to sign him but he is set to stay with their Champions League quarter-final opponents.

Dante signed a new deal at Allianz Arena. The contract will keep the 30 year old star in Munich till June of 2017. So another David Moyes target bites the dust. Sorry.
