Manchester United and Germany Midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger had an awful, injury-plagued season. It started out alright, but the Captain of the reigning World Cup champion side missed a lot of time due to knee ligament problems, and he’s looked out of form even when healthy and on the pitch.
Schweinsteiger was named to the Premier League top flop lists by numerous publications, and “Der Kaiser” Franz Beckenbauer described his situation at Old Trafford as “miserable.”
Well, if that’s the case then it’s a good thing Inter Milan could offer Schweinsteiger an escape route; at least temporarily.
The Daily Express report that Inter are interested in acquiring Basti on a loan move, and that United are looking to move him. DE writes that “new manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly keen to offload the Germany international, who is currently United’s top earner on £275,000 a week.”
If this actually does happen, it could be best for all involved.
