Andros Townsend. That was pretty much the only noise on transfer deadline day for Manchester United. And that’s all it is- noise. The 22 year old winger was linked with David Moyes when he was at Everton, and he was linked with him now. But the Daily Mirror reports Moyes’ ambitious swap sending Nani to Tottenham failed. It looks like instead Nani could be headed to one of the Milans: Inter or AC.
after Andros Townsend the major United rumored target was Toni Kroos. But by now you’ve heard that he’s staying put. United might be willing to meet the high price of Julian Draxler, but only in summer. That deal, if it actually happens, certainly won’t be today.
And of course the non-stop rumors about Javier Hernandez headed to Valencia — not true. Chicharito is staying put.
Here’s a couple quotes from Moyes that pretty much sum up the day. And the lack of activity on it.
David Moyes to the Media: “You can stand down your TV cameras at the gates. I don’t think they’ll be required. We’ve done our business.”

Moyes: “There’s no disappointment [on no more transfers].I said at the start that we wouldn’t do much business in January.” #MUFC
