Last season, Jurgen Klopp’s first on the Liverpool FC job, they finished so low in the table that they didn’t even qualify for Europa League, let alone Champions League. Now in his first FULL season at the helm in Anfield, Klopp has the Reds as a league title contender, not just in the mix for top four.

What’s responsible for the huge upgrade? Well, not really the summer transfer window so much, as Jurgen Klopp didn’t break the bank and bring it a lot of huge names.

However, he’s been proven right about the wheelings and dealings as LFC are now in second, just six points behind table toppers Chelsea. How did they get here then, if isn’t because of new players?

Their new found success is because of how the team has developed young talent. Jurgen Klopp has used the results that we’ve seen so far as a way to stump for his program. He believes that Liverpool is the best place to be for developing young talent.

Via the Liverpool Echo, Jurgen Klopp said:

“Maybe there are a few clubs in world football who can play better and if you can go there, these few clubs, yeah then do it, but for all the rest this should be the best place to be.”

“I would say at the moment that LFC is a really good place to be for a player to develop, to get the best out of your career and all that stuff. That is how we live.”

“I said a few months ago, the biggest teams in the world they didn’t change a lot, they developed together, then bring him in and that in and so on and improve a little bit and then in the end you have a wonderful team.”
