Liverpool FC dropped two points today against one of the Premier League’s worst teams. This less than 48 hours after beating the preseason league title favorites. That’s Liverpool for you in a nutshell. The Twitterverse had a lot of fun with that; as they did with forward Daniel Sturridge, who got injured yet again.
The good news is that it’s not serious, according to Manager Jurgen Klopp:
“got a knock on his right ankle. I don’t think it’s too bad,” Klopp told the postmatch news conference regarding Sturridge.
In reference to Milner, he said: “felt like he got a knock on the calf, but he didn’t know exactly if he got a knock. So then we needed to be really careful, so that’s why we made a change.”
