Wow did Alberto Moreno and Liverpool have a really rough night. The Reds young Spanish left-back made several gaffes, some of which created the opportunities for his former team, Sevilla, to score three goals in 20 minutes, and quickly obliterate Liverpool’s 1-0 halftime lead. Thus, the defender was just absolutely shredded on Twitter this evening.
Here are some of the more scathing critiques of Alberto Moreno via the social media platform. Many people made the joke that it looked like Moreno was still playing for his former team tonight, as all three of the Spanish side’s goals came on plays which were in some way connected to Moreno mistakes.
Sevilla have now won the competition for the third season in a row and thereby earned a UEFA Champions League spot because of it. For what its worth, former Liverpool player Steve Nicol, now an ESPN FC Analyst, gave Moreno a 2/10 in his individual player match ratings.
if Moreno isn't the first person replaced in the summer I'll be amazed

Moreno gotta be worse than Rojo. That’s going some

In all seriousness, Moreno's defending for the equaliser was pivotal. Sevilla looks out of ideas & lacking belief. That changed everything.
