Chelsea FC Manager Antonio Conte has a contract that keeps him at Stamford Bridge until 2019, but there’s been talk he could be on the move before his deal is up. The former Italy and Juventus boss has been linked to a slew of clubs including a return back to his home country.

Friend of Antonio Conte and agent Federico Pastorello said earlier this month: “if offers from clubs arrive, new opportunities may arise, especially at historical clubs.”

Shortly after these comments were made, Conte confirmed that he will be back with Chelsea next year.

Conte came to Chelsea once he concluded his run has boss of Gil Azzuri, and there’s been reports that he could leave Chelsea to begin another spell with Inter Milan.

More speculation mounted as Conte showed two Italian comedians around his home in a feature for Mediaset.

“Well, it’s not Italy,” Conte said about his current digs. “Yes [I miss it]. Italy’s always Italy, my heart is there.”

When told by the comedians that no Italian club could afford to appoint him anyway, Conte cut them short, saying: “New owners have arrived there too now, so…”

In other Antonio Conte news, at his weekly news conference today, he called on the league to alter the fixture schedule, claiming it is unfair that Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea are playing at different times during the title run-in. Here’s a link to the transcript of his comments.

Both Tottenham and Chelsea have just five games remaining, but they will only play at the same time on the very last day. Chelsea visit Everton on Sunday, kickoff at 2 pm time local. They are currently on top of the table, leading Tottenham by just four points. Spurs host Arsenal in the weekend’s marquee fixture on Sunday. The north London derby kicks off at 4:30 local time.
