Arsenal FC manager Arsene Wenger- will he stay or will he go? Should he stay or should he go? The club released an official statement today, but it was nothing more than just the status quo. You know the drill, Wenger will have input, mutual decision, we won’t know until they’re ready to make it public etc.
The embattled Arsenal manager said the fan protests against him will factor into the decision, but it won’t be the biggest factor.
Asked as his news conference on Thursday whether the fans’ opinion will impact his decision, Arsene Wenger said: “Yes. Of course, you consider everything. It will not be the most important factor but of course, you consider it.”
The backlash against the long time boss is as strong as it’s ever been with a big march against him taking place at the Emirates on Tuesday.
The Gunners got routed by Bayern Munich, again, and found themselves eliminated from the UEFA Champions League in the round of 16 for the seventh straight season. This time it was in humiliating fashion, 10-2 on aggregate. Wenger tried to deflect responsibility by blaming the referees, but that excuse largely fell on deaf ears.
