University of Michigan football sophomore cornerback Blake Countess (Owings Mills, Md./Our Lady of Good Counsel) will miss the remainder of the 2012 season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament suffered in last Saturday’s game against Alabama. The loss to the Crimson Tide was bad enough, but now there’s injury added to insult for the Wolverines.
Countess started six of 12 games as a true freshman in 2011, totaling 44 tackles, 30 solo, 1.5 tackles for losses, one forced fumble and six pass breakups. This will hurt depth quite a bit; as it does any time a partial starter goes down.
