The husband of Layla Kiffin, that would be Lane Kiffin, has landed the Alabama Offensive Coordinator job. Given his train wreck performance at USC, coupled with the search engine gold that is his wife. Lane Kiffin is now Layla Kiffin’s husband, and not vice versa. I’m declaring it now. It’s not the other way around anymore. The internet really loves Layla Kiffin, and Lane Kiffin’s coaching career is in terrible decline.

Maybe a move to the Crimson Tide will change things? If he gets the gig of course.

Kiffin bombed at Tennessee too; the job he previously held at USC. Lane Kiffin met with Nick Saban before the Sugar Bowl, “to share ideas and exchange ideas … [for] professional development,”and he’s interviewing with ‘Bama today. Former Tide OC Doug Nussmeier left Tuscaloosa to take the same position with the Michigan Wolverines it was announced this morning.  Nussmeier helped the Tide to averages of 38.2 points and 454.1 yards per game this season. He replaces the fired Al Borges who was canned last night. You’ll remember that Lane Kiffin was fired in the LAX parking lot coming back from the brutal loss at Arizona State in September. So you could say that Kiffin “hopped off the plane at LAX with a dream and a cardigan.”

They do not have a historical marker at LAX for this event. In other Crimson Tide football news, Alabama’s juniors are holding a press conference today to announce their NFL Draft intentions. So stay tuned for that. We leave you with a couple more Layla Kiffin pics.
