Alabama, not Michigan, gets Da’Shawn Hand. Michigan football looks pretty awful right now, but with the recruiting classes they have on the way, they’re going to be really solid. Even despite this setback. No. 1 ranked college football recruit Da’Shawn Hand would have really been the jewel of the highly ranked recruiting class.

Bummer! Because Michigan was the favorite to land him. He really was.

Brady Hoke was unable to snatch Da’Shawn Hand away from Nick Saban, the master of this domain. Although until today, Saban has never landed the top overall recruit of any class. Hard to believe, given all the great success Saban has achieved.

Da’Shawn Hand made the announcement live from his school’s gymnasium at Woodbridge High School in Woodbridge, Virgina. Da’Shawn Hand had received more than 90 Division 1 FBS offers.

He delayed the announcement by 40 minutes, then delayed it another 10 minutes. #DIVA #PLEASELOOKATME This kind of decision would even make Lebron James blush.

So good job Yahoo! Rivals and NBC SN for dragging this thing out as long as possible. The Da’Shawn decision was a horrible train wreck of a program. The one hour special marks the very first and very last time I’ll be watching Yahoo! SportsDash on television.

Thus concludes the big decision day for college football. Tomorrow is EVEN BIGGER; but for college basketball. The #1 recruit in the nation, Jahlil Okafor from Whitney Young high school in Chicago is set to make his decision in which he is likely to choose Duke over the Kansas Jayhawks. (here’s the latest on that) The #5 prospect, Tyus Jones is supposed to be a package deal with Okafor.

Then there’s #3 recruit Cliff Alexander. Who’s supposedly 50-50 between the Illini and Kansas. Here’s the latest on that. All three, Jones Alexander and Okafor, will announce around 3 PM CST.
