Charles Matthews, a five-star 2015 shooting guard from Chicago announced where he will play his college basketball on Wednesday morning at 8:30 central time. He made the announcement from his high school St. Rita, saying Kentucky.
Illinois was supposedly in the conversation on Charles Matthews earlier, but I’ve been talking to my Illini basketball recruiting experts for awhile about this, and they haven’t considered Illinois in the running at all these past few weeks. The Charles Matthews derby has been Kentucky and Kentucky only for a long time.
