Latest Chicago Bears drama turns season into tragic farce

By

(Update on this situation, via Rapoport on 12-14-14) For the 2014 Chicago Bears, tragedy has become farce. With the Aaron Kromer versus Jay Cutler he said, he said, tragedy has become comedy. So it's comedically tragic. Or tragically comedic. Or tragicomedy, or.....well, just when you were ready to check out of the '14 Chicago Bears season, they keep pulling you … [Read more...] about Latest Chicago Bears drama turns season into tragic farce

VIDEO: Jay Cutler hilariously lampooned in music video

By

Jay Cutler draws a large amount of ire from Chicago Bears nation. Much of it is fair, but a lot of it is not. Bears fans love to give Cutler less of the credit than he actually deserves, and more of the blame than he truly deserves. It’s partially because he reminds them of Billy Czapka, a villain in quite a few ’80s movies. Of course, being the highest paid player in the … [Read more...] about VIDEO: Jay Cutler hilariously lampooned in music video

2014 Chicago Bears: seven things that actually went right

By

Chicago Bears, way to be disappointing. The 2014 season wasn’t supposed to go like this. Chicago’s record is 5-8, and because of tiebreakers and other fancy stuff, the Bears are mathematically eliminated from postseason contention. The players will “play for pride their jobs the final three games. That is all well and good for them, but it's also clear that losing out and … [Read more...] about 2014 Chicago Bears: seven things that actually went right

What Chicago can do about Jay Cutler buyer’s remorse

By

(Update on this situation, via Rapoport on 12-17-14) We crunched the numbers now, following the Saints loss and we looked at all the scenarios for getting rid of Jay Cutler, this is what it would cost. Of course, the Chicago Bears also have to pay good money to Coach Marc Trestman, to make him walk away. Which they have every intention of doing on "Black Monday," reports … [Read more...] about What Chicago can do about Jay Cutler buyer’s remorse

Bears DC Mel Tucker: NFLN says his days are numbered

By

Defensive Coordinator Mel Tucker has been the scapegoat for the Chicago Bears failings much of this season. Bears nation has directed a lot of their vitriol towards him (as well as Marc Trestman and Jay Cutler, who the Bears are also having serious buyer's remorse with) for an abysmal season that's been a complete team effort. Or lack there of. If you have to single out … [Read more...] about Bears DC Mel Tucker: NFLN says his days are numbered

Chicago Bears players as Thanksgiving Dinner items

By

The Chicago Bears head to Detroit for a late Thanksgiving morning tilt against the Lions. For the sake of all involved (fans, players, coaching staff), the game should end before most eat their turkey, stuffing and other traditional Turkey Day dishes. No need to ruin the appetites of those choosing to watch the fools’ gold that is the Chicago Bears. In an attempt to have a … [Read more...] about Chicago Bears players as Thanksgiving Dinner items

VIDEO: Jay Cutler shows emotion, draws penalty for it

By

Jay Cutler is truly in the damned if you do, damned if you don't category. Everybody, myself included, pick on him for never showing emotion. Well he just did, and what happens? He draws an unsportsmanlike penalty for it.  Sunday Cutler was upset with the refs blowing a play dead on the bears first drive and he received a 15-yard penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct. Here's … [Read more...] about VIDEO: Jay Cutler shows emotion, draws penalty for it

Vikings Kyle Rudolph could mean more Bears woes defending the TE

By

Add Kyle Rudolph to the list of tight ends that could burn the Chicago Bears this season. The Notre Dame product participated in full during the Minnesota Vikings’ practice on Thursday. He is returning from sports hernia surgery and would improve an inconsistent Minnesota passing offense. For Chicago Bears fans, the last thing they want to see is a promising rookie … [Read more...] about Vikings Kyle Rudolph could mean more Bears woes defending the TE

Jimmy Clausen over Jay Cutler hot takes have already begun

By

You knew it would only be matter of time before the NFL pundits started suggesting that Jimmy Clausen replace Jay Cutler. It is surprising that the "start Clausen" hot takes have ALREADY begun. I figured the Bears would be about 3-9 or 3-10 before any of the NFL talking heads started proposing this idea. If you think things are bad now, just wait until you see Jimmy … [Read more...] about Jimmy Clausen over Jay Cutler hot takes have already begun
