Chicago Bears fans who expect Quarterback Jay Cutler to finally reach his potential this season are insane. After all the different coaches he's had, all the offensive coordinators he's gone through, he's remained exactly who he is. There won't be any changes in 2015. All the "THIS is the Year for Jay Cutler" pieces were written in 2013 and 2014. … [Read more...] about Every national media story on Jay Cutler is the same exact thing

London Fletcher is the best NFL pundit out there
Today's sports media talking heads are getting increasingly vanilla. Sure you have a Charles Barkley here and an Alexi Lalas there, but the majority of big time national television network pundits are often dry. Every team is great. Every player is "among the best in the game." Monday Night Football's Jon Gruden takes the most heat for embodying this stereotype, but there are … [Read more...] about London Fletcher is the best NFL pundit out there
Bart Scott Sizes up the NFC North race
The Green Bay Packers are the ruling oligarchs of the NFC North. The Pack have won it four years straight and appear to be the favorites once again this season. Not just in the division, but quite possibly the conference. We spoke with NFL on CBS Analyst Bart Scott and he believes the Packers are still a Super Bowl contender even despite the loss of Jordy Nelson to injury. … [Read more...] about Bart Scott Sizes up the NFC North race
John Fox: one of the Chicago Bears’ few bright spots
This fall John Fox will be keeping on wearing orange and blue. Of all the deals that rookie Chicago Bears GM Ryan Pace has made thus far, the one to acquire "Foxy" as he is affectionately known, is the best. When the Coaching carousel finished spinning, the Bears had a feeling of winning. Don't get used to that feeling this season, because it's not going to happen much. … [Read more...] about John Fox: one of the Chicago Bears’ few bright spots
Bears had zero tolerance for Ray McDonald upon signing him
Interesting stuff here from Fox Sports' Jay Glazer regarding the Ray McDonald situation. It gives us a little more insight into the Chicago Bears immediate release of McDonald. Turns out that McDonald was signed to the Bears this winter with a sort of caveat that he was already on double secret probation. There was to be zero tolerance regarding any malfeasance, and Ray … [Read more...] about Bears had zero tolerance for Ray McDonald upon signing him
For Chicago Bears, NFL fans, how much is “enough?”
The sports story of the day is former NFL Defensive Lineman Ray McDonald getting arrested for domestic abuse and child endangerment. This is his third arrest in nine months, and we can all safely assume that he's one God awful human being. Shortly after the news broke, the Chicago Bears released him, so therefore one of their biggest signings this off-season is now a complete … [Read more...] about For Chicago Bears, NFL fans, how much is “enough?”
Chicago Bears DB Sherrick McManiss leads GRIDIRON FIT
I don't know if Chicago Bears nickel back Sherrick McManis ever won the IRON CAT competition during his days at Northwestern, but he's leading the very first session of Nike's Train Chicago; a very IRON CAT like experience. The Iron Cat is an annual award Northwestern football hands out to the player who wins the weight room. McManis is a great American success story of … [Read more...] about Chicago Bears DB Sherrick McManiss leads GRIDIRON FIT
Train Chicago: CHALLENGING Workout! Earn your summer body!
Most sports journalists are former athletes who eventually got passed up by the game. The rest are athletes who achieved all that was possible in their respective sports, then transitioned nicely to cushy media gigs. It happens to everyone, just a question of when. I'm no different in that I'm a washed up former athlete myself. Except I wasn't actually good even when I was in … [Read more...] about Train Chicago: CHALLENGING Workout! Earn your summer body!
Chicago Bears 2015 Draft drawing extensive praise
First off, before we analyze the Chicago Bears Draft, I have to say that referring to Chicago as "Chi Town" is akin to calling the United States of America: "'Murrica!" Do you see now why us Chicagoans don't like it? We kept hearing "Chi Town" over and over and over again during the 2015 NFL Draft, and you get to hear it yet again in the video below. … [Read more...] about Chicago Bears 2015 Draft drawing extensive praise
What the Chicago Bears are getting in Penn St. Safety Adrian Amos
The Chicago Bears selected Penn State safety Adrian Amos in the fifth round today with the #142 overall selection in the 2015 NFL Draft. Amos is the eighth Penn State player drafted by Chicago and is the first Nittany Lion selected by the Bears since guard Tyler Reed in the sixth round of the 2006 Draft.
