Tottenham Hotspur Starting XI Prediction vs Burnley FC

I’m going to start by apologizing to Spurs fans. I jinxed your team by saying it would take something incredibly ‘Spursy’ for them not to win against NS Mura in the UEFA Conference League and something ‘Spursy’  is exactly what happened as they lost 2-1 to the lowest-ranked side competing in UEFA competitions this year.

The feel-good factor that came after the appointment of Antonio Conte is almost certainly gone now. You’d have to say the pressure is on the Italian to produce a 90-minute display against the Clarets at Turf Moor this weekend.

Tottenham Team News vs Burnley: Romero, Lo Celso, Scarlett

Tottenham return to Premier League action after being humiliated by Slovenian side NS Mura in the UEFA Conference League. The loss to the lowest-ranked side in European competition this season and a side sitting in fifth place in the Slovenian top tier has new manager Antonio Conte questioning the quality of the squad at his disposal.

The loss has potentially added two extra fixtures to the Spurs schedule as they face the prospect of a playoff to reach the knockout phase of the third-tier European competition.

West Ham Starting XI Prediction vs Manchester City

After the disappointment of a shock loss to Wolverhampton in the league, the Hammers bounced right back in the best possible way winning their Europa League fixture in Austria.

Not only did it guarantee them the top spot of their group with one matchday to play, but David Moyes also managed to rest a whole host of first-team regulars before this massive clash with reigning Premier League champions Manchester City.

West Ham Team News vs City: Ogbonna Potentially Out Until 2023

It was a mixed bag last week for David Moyes high-flying Hammers. First, they lost their first league match since the beginning of October when they fell to Wolverhampton 1-0.

Then they traveled to Austria and defeated Rapid Wien 2-0 in the Europa League to guarantee their qualification for the knockout phase of that competition as group winners. West Ham has already got one big scalp to their name this season, with three points secured against Liverpool.

Manchester City Starting XI Prediction vs West Ham United

It’s a top-four clash, but not your traditional top-four clash as Manchester City welcomes high-flyers, West Ham, to the Etihad Stadium this weekend. West Ham has never been a difficult fixture for Pep Guardiola and he will hope to register his third win in a week when David Moyes team comes to town.

Both sides come into this one with midweek European victories under their belt. Manchester City guaranteed the top spot of their Champions League group with a 2-1 victory over PSG, whilst West Ham did likewise with a 2-0 victory over Rapid Wien in Austria

Man City Team News vs West Ham: De Bruyne, Torres, Grealish, Foden

After their midweek heroics against fellow mega-rich side PSG in the Champions League, Manchester City set their sights on one of the surprise packets of the 2021/22 Premier League season so far – West Ham. With only three points separating the sides,  it is second versus fourth in a huge fixture at the Etihad Stadium.

Pep Guardiola and his side will be looking to avenge their penalty shoot-out loss to the Hammers in the Carabao Cup. That was a match they were unlucky to lose as they created chance after chance but just couldn’t find the back of the net. It was also the first loss the Citizens had lost in that competition in four years.

Arsenal FC Starting XI Prediction vs Newcastle United

arsenal fc transfer rumors-tottenham

Mikel Arteta will be demanding an immediate response to his side’s first loss in 10 matches last week when they face a Newcastle side in dead last of the English Premier League standings. The Emirates crowd will be demanding an immediate response also.

The historical stats bode well for the North London club and make for grim reading for the Geordies. Newcastle is the only side in the top four leagues of the English pyramid to have not registered a win yet this season.

Arsenal FC Team News vs Newcastle: Kolasinac, Xhaka

One benefit of not having European competition for the Gunners is that Mikel Arteta had his whole squad to train with this week. They needed it after being handed a sobering 4-0 loss to Liverpool last weekend that put their unbeaten streak into a bit of perspective.

They couldn’t have picked a better side to bounce back against as they take on rock-bottom Newcastle United who may or may not have their new coach, Eddie Howe, in the dugout as he recovers from COVID-19.

Tottenham Team News vs NS Mura: Romero, Lo Celso, Skipp

After successfully banking their first three league points of the Antonio Conte era, Tottenham Hotspur’s focus must now shift to the UEFA Conference League and their midweek match against Slovenian side NS Mura.

Spurs remain undefeated under their new manager’s tutelage and will expect to keep that run going here against a team they brushed aside 5-1 in matchday two of this UEFA Conference League.

Tottenham Starting XI Prediction vs NS Mura (Conference League)

Spurs will be hoping to pick up an easy three points as they travel to Slovenia to face Group G whipping boys NS Mura. It hasn’t been all plain sailing for the London side in the UEFA Conference League, but they can take a huge step toward qualifying for the next round with a victory here.

New manager Antonio Conte laid a marker down in his first game in charge of Spurs which came in this very competition. He named a strong starting XI against Vitesse in the last matchday. I don’t think he will go down the same route against the Slovenians. I expect a much-changed starting XI from the one that faced Leeds in the Premier League.

West Ham Starting XI Prediction vs Rapid Wien (Europa League)

West Ham has the opportunity to qualify for the knockout phase of the Europa League with one game in hand this week when they take on Austrian side Rapid Wien. The Hammers have skated through their Europa League group with relative ease and have yet to taste defeat on the continent this season.

David Moyes and his men will be hoping for more of the same here. The last time the Hammers strung together such an impressive streak on the continent was all the way back in 1965. That particular undefeated streak included the 1965 Cup Winners Cup trophy.

West Ham Team News vs Rapid Wien (UEL): Ogbonna, Masuaku

After the high of defeating Liverpool right before the international break, the Hammers had their bubble burst by Wolverhampton in the last Premier League matchday. The Irons must now switch their focus to the Europa League clash with Rapid Wien.

A victory in Austria against the weakest side in their group will guarantee the high-flying East Londoners a spot in the Europa League knockout stages in the New Year.
