5 INSPIRATIONAL Sports Movie Speeches (Videos)

“Clear eyes. Full Hearts! CAN’T LOSE” I’m assuming that right now many of you are like me, preparing for the start of your corporate/recreational league postseason. And fresh off a come-from-behind walkoff win over the Wall Street Journal, my Chicago Now teammates and I prepare for the Chi-town media league softball playoffs.

We need to keep our competitive edge, as you do, in whatever league you’re in. Or maybe it’s a big job interview, or you’ve finally gotten the resolve to ask out your dream girl. Whatever the case may be, continue on after the jump, watch the vids and get pumped!

“HOOSIERS”

The ultimate underdog story. I watched this film twice the night before I caught a bus to Indianapolis to cover the 2010 Final Four. And I made a joke to my friends: Lucas Oil Field is much bigger than Assembly Hall or even the United Center. The media room for the national title game is 8x what I’m used to; with 20x as many chairs. But the laptop, pen, game notes, and recording device is still the same size.

OPENING RANT IN “BLUE CHIPS”

This will motivate you as well, just in a completely different way. Nick Nolte was perfect for this scene.

PEACE BY INCHES, AL PACINO, “ANY GIVEN SUNDAY”

“You’re going to find a man who’s willing to fight and die for that inch with you!” Sooooooooooooooo many great lines in this one- gives me chills every time. Bad overall movie. Great overall scene

WHEN BOYS BECOME MEN, OUR DEEPEST FEAR, “COACH CARTER”

This clip reminds us that failure we know how to handle, it’s success and the responsibility that comes with it which is a true challenge

COMPILATION

These are snippets from some of the best not included here. War movies are naturally included as well. The best part is towards the end, the montage of everyone taking off to fight!
