The 34th running of the iconic Breeders’ Cup took place recently at Del Mar race track. The 2017 edition was a success for people involved, as the attendance was high, but still low in comparison to previous years. This was due to a maximum capacity of 37,500 at the smaller venue.

Elizabeth Banks
Elizabeth Banks has been a regular at the Breeders’ Cup due to her love for horses and the fact she is an ambassador of the event. Through this she has been involved in films such as Seabiscuit, which was about the incredible comeback story of a horse and jockey to reach the pinnacle of the sport. She can be expected to be a regular face in the future at Breeders’ Cup events.
Bo Derek
Another ambassador and regular at the Breeders’ Cup is Bo Derek. She was again spotted among the celebrity faces at the event. She is a well-known film and television actress and is best known for her role in the film Jenny Hanley back in 1979. She is an avid fan of horse racing and is now a horse owner as well as an animal rights activist. Derek has been an active member of the Animal Welfare Institute for many years. She is also a member of the California Horse racing board and is expected to be a familiar face for years to come at Breeders’ Cup events.
JORDANA BREWSTER
The American actress and model is a fan of horse racing and has been spotted at some of the major events around the world, such as the Melbourne cup in 2015. She is best known for her role as Mia Toretto in the Fast and Furious films over the years. Brewster also starred in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning back in 2006. You can expect to see her attending many other major horse racing events in the future.
DEAN NORRIS
Norris is another celebrity who attended this year’s Breeders’ Cup. He is renowned for his starring role as DEA agent Hank Schrader in the award winning series Breaking Bad. He has also appeared in films such as Lethal Weapon 2, Total Recall and most recently Sons of Liberty back in 2015. With his love for horses, Norris can be expected to be in attendance for some of the major race meetings in the US.
