Alvaro Morata Drops Hint He Could be Recruiting Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez to United

This weekend has brought not just one, but two “reading in between the lines of the Alvaro Morata Instagram page” news. The first of this double shot came yesterday when Morata when the world wide web took notice of Morata removing the phrase “Real Madrid player” from his Instagram bio. He later did the same on his official Twitter account.

If you want to see that screen shot and read more about it, go to this link.

Today, we see that Morata “liked” a post made on Instagram by a Spanish newspaper claiming that he is trying to recruit fellow Real Madrid Galacticos James Rodriguez and Gareth Bale to join him at Old Trafford.

Some would call the over-analyzing of an individual’s activity on social media a form of “jumping the gun.” Others would point out that athletes maintain social media accounts as their primary outlet for expressing themselves these days, and thus, we should place a high level of emphasis on the messages being conveyed.

Rodriguez has been linked to United for some time already, and given that he, like Morata, might be more likely to get first team football at Old Trafford than he does at the Bernabeu, this transaction is quite realistic. Of course, new rumors emerged today that Chelsea have entered the James Rodriguez derby.

As for Bale, he’s been linked to United off and on for several years, but this deal is far from the likeliest transfer rumor out there. His massive salary demands make this potential deal rather complicated.

What a summer transfer window it would be for United, if there were to somehow lure the entire trio away from the Spanish capital.

First things first though, the Alvaro Morata deal isn’t closed yet, although he’s dropping major hints that it’s coming soon.

Some publications claim that the two giant clubs have an agreement in principle already in place, and that they’re simply working on hammering out the details right now.

It would be a good fit for the three parties involved.

United now need a new center forward to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Morata wants a place where he could get regular first team action. It wasn’t going to happen at Real, where Karim Benzema is the entrenched first-teamer at the position.
