David De Gea was named Manchester United‘s Players’ Player of the Season and Fans’ Player of the Season for 2014-15. He hopes to regain that dominant form in 2015-16. The chance for him to make a dream move back to his hometown is now gone. The transfer deadline day snafu is ancient history.
De Gea quickly put it past him and signed a four-year contract extension with United. And now he’s spoken up about his turbulent, but eventful August and September.

“I am a guy who can move on from bad things and difficult moments,” De Gea said.

“Football teaches you things. Tough moments make you mature and grow up. There are things that you learn in the world of football. You must keep working and try to improve every day in training.”
De Gea’s career has seen a lot of drama lately. The failed transfer deal and the manner in which it fell apart was a huge international story. De Gea also began this season on the bench, and the reasoning behind that let to much controversy and speculation in the media. However, that’s all behind him now.
Moving forward, De Gea is focused on keeping United in contention for the Premier League title.
