Manchester United Captain and scoring record holder Wayne Rooney is willing to turn out for United’s kids in a desperate bid to prove his fitness ahead of Euro 2016. Rooney, obviously worried that his place with the England National Team is under threat given the fine form of Jamie Vardy and Harry Kane, is set to play for the Red Devils U21s.
United Manager Louis van Gaal told the club’s official website. MUTV today:
“He’s doing great. Today he has trained on a lower level, with a little bit of skill training, so with the ball. It’s going very good with him.”
Here are the chances for Wayne Rooney to showcase his fitness with the U21s- home versus Chelsea on April 4 and Newcastle United on April 9. There’s also an away game at Tottenham on April 18.
