You saw today what Robin van Persie can do. And in case you need a reminder, you can go to this post, and watch his amazing header again.

Apparently former Manchester United Manager David Moyes really didn’t know what he truly had in Van Persie. The striker wasn’t show enough love according to Rio Ferdinand.

“When Sir Alex Ferguson left, he went from being the star man, our go-to guy, the top scorer, to being almost like a sideshow,” Ferdinand is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.

“I think that the dynamics changed. The manager, David Moyes, was talking up Wayne Rooney and forwards need to be loved. And I don’t think he felt that love last season.”

Well, given where the career of Van Persie is headed versus what happened to the career of David Moyes lately, I guess we know who was right and who was wrong at Old Trafford. Provided of course, you accept the narrative of Ferdinand.

Robin van Persie had two goals as Holland TROUNCED Spain 5-1. it was rematch of the 2010 World Cup Final, but it wasn’t a match’ instead it was a mismatch. I would love to see RVP and Louis van Gaal put on the display at Old Trafford this season that they did today. Again and again.

“This is a dream come true for Netherlands. Sometimes inexplicable things happen. We must not forget that we only have three points. We must now continue. That is the reality,” Robin van Persie told NOS after the match.

‘Credit to the coach, these are his tactics,’ RVP said after the game giving tremendous credit to Holland National Team Coach Louis van Gaal. So there’s been a tremendous upgrade in Manager at United.

Certainly, the change is a total 180 when it comes to chemistry with Robin van Persie, and getting the most out of him. Today you saw why Van Persie is one of the top 100 highest paid athletes in the world.
