The foundation associated with the Chicago Fire Soccer club is hosting its third annual “Fire, Brews and Bites” beer tasting event at Carmichael’s Steakhouse (1052 West Monroe Street, Chicago, Ill., 60607) on Saturday, June 14 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The event will consist of an afternoon of brews, Chicago Fire soccer and food and fun as guests will have an opportunity to taste some beers from local breweries, grab some food and socialize while watching the World Cup on the big screen. England takes on Italy at 4:30 on ESPN that day, so stay where you are to catch that contest, after the event ends.
Or…there are numerous Premier League bars in the city of Chicago that will all be hosting watch parties. Here’s a guide.
This year’s beer tasting is highlighted by samples from Revolution Brewing, Chicago’s new hometown craft brewery located in Logan Square, 3 Floyds Brewery Co., and many other local favorites. Tickets, which include a beer tasting, appetizers and a commemorative gift item, start at $40. Go the Chicago Fire soccer website to learn more about the event and/or purchase tickets.
