Condoleezza Rice, the former Secretary of State, and now member of the college football playoff committee, shot down ideas that she’ll co-purchase the L.A. Clippers from the NBA. Rice, a basketball fan, addressed the racist comments made by d-bag Clippers owner Donald Sterling.
In an interview with OZY, Condoleezza Rice dismisses the excuse that “people say things” like Sterling’s racist remarks, and notes that he failed to live up to his responsibility as an employer. She said she’s not joining her “friend” Oprah in purchasing the team.
“I don’t have Oprah’s money,” Condoleezza said.
Condoleezza on Donald Sterling – “I know people say that people say things but you have a certain responsibility when you are someone for whom African Americans work and then you say something like that, how do you really expect them to feel working for you? And I think it’s a disgrace for the league and I’m glad that the commissioner did what he did.”
