The world’s fastest man, sprinter of all sprinters Usain Bolt is a huge Manchester United fan. While his ultimate dream is to one day play for the giant English club, he is currently arranging to train with Borussia Dortmund and “see what happens.”
“We’ve genuinely been talking to people” about a post track and field career in football, Bolt said in an extensive interview with The Guardian.
“For me, if I could get to play for Manchester United, that would be like a dream come true. Yes, that would be epic,” Bolt said in the interview. It’s similar to what he told the BBC back on July 26th 2014.
‘Its a big dream. Believe in me,’ he said then with a smile.
In January that season Bolt once again conveyed his strong passion for the club by ripping then Manager Louis van Gaal to pieces. Tired and frustrated by the mediocre results and drab, dull performances, Bolts said. “Well, looking at how Van Gaal is, I don’t think I would ever want to be coached by him so I think I will put that on pause until we get a new coach.”
Usain Bolt told the media this at the Jamaican Sportsman of the Year awards.
Bolt absolutely owned track and field at the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics, and his dominance was the talk of Summer Olympiad Twitter. Bolt often won so handily that it looked like he was jogging the last 10 or 20 meters of some races.
