Michele Steele is name you recognize a lot from ESPN and their NFL coverage. She’s on ESPN NFL Sunday Countdown all the time and reports on site for NFL games regularly. And she’s handling the Chicago Bears on Monday July 28th, as part of ESPN’s 32 NFL teams in 10 days. She’s a fellow Illini! Yes, she’s a Daily Illini alum, as I remember that she used to write the Scout column for the student daily at the University of Illinois. I think she’s around my graduating class.

I don’t really remember her that much, she might have been a class or two above me, which would put Steele around age 40.

ESPN.com will also post a John Clayton training camp preview and tour. In the lead-up to training camp, ESPN Insider will examine the pivotal position battles taking place across the league and provide analysis of the teams in both leagues most likely to rise or fall in the standings this season.

Again, the Chicago Bears will be a week from Monday.

Prior to her time at the WWL, she worked at Bloomberg Television as the network’s only sports reporter. Michele Steele was also a senior reporter for Forbes video on-demand service and a regular contributor to Forbes on Fox. She has a bachelor degree in economics with honors from the University of Illinois and a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University.

Prior to her time as a reporter and anchor, Michele Steele spending two years in the Loire Valley France and in Martinique teaching English. She worked 12 hours a week then and it was actually considered “full time” in that country.

She enjoys Illini basketball, Chicago-style hot dogs and New York-style pizza.
