David Moyes said United defeat worse than any loss with Everton

David Moyes went hard-line on his Manchester United football team following their humiliating defeat to City in the Manchester Derby. He’s just following in the footsteps of his predecessor, Sir Alex Ferguson.

“I just told the players… [in] the way I would have told players at any other club if I don’t think they’re doing it,” David Moyes said.

The 4-1 defeat was as bad or worse than any loss Moyes suffered in his many years leading Everton football club.

“They’re good players. They’re good pros. They know when they’re bang at it and when they’re not. I’ve been here many times with Everton and don’t think I’ve suffered a defeat like this with Everton in my time.”

David Moyes also ‘admitted’ United were ‘dominated’ by City. And once he got finished telling the media the awful truth about Sunday’s match, truths we all saw, he then moved on to Liverpool on Wednesday. From one bitter archrival, right to the next one.

“We didn’t play well; they were better. They started much stronger and much quicker than us,” he explained.

“But we’ll get better – it’s a long season to go. We’ll put this behind us and move on.”

Although true, these are cliches, and hopefully these platitudes espoused by David Moyes will ease the troubled minds of United fans right now.
