Inspiration badly needed in Manchester United transfer market

My last article regarding Manchester United was full of hope. I had decided to give it a week or so to wait and see if something might happen regarding the transfer market. I waited and I waited. I read some tweets and saw some breaking news regarding Manchester United and still…nothing.

There has been a lot of smokescreen madness involving incoming and outgoing players but as of now, there has been nothing really solid to report on.

What we do have?

United have rejected another offer from Chelsea believed to be in the region of $38 million for want-a-way striker Wayne Rooney. The news here
lies in how fast they rejected it. They simply rejected it before even considering it. Wayne Rooney is not for sale. There are still 28 days until the Transfer Window closes so this story is far from finished what with Wayne Rooney not travelling to Stockholm with the squad for their next preseason friendly, Mourinho remaining adament that he wants Rooney in London net year and United underlining their determination not to sell, it will be a long 28 days of back and forths between both managers.

It has also been reported that Rooney has considered sending in an official transfer request in an attempt to push through a deal.

According to Spanish newspaper Marca, Ronaldo has signed a new deal with Real that will see him remain in the capital until the end of 2018.
Marca are pretty much Real Madrid’s media spokesperson. They print stories with agendas. This might be another clever trick by Real to push
through a new contract and warn off potential suitors or it might be actually true. Remember, it is the transfer season and nothing is what
it seems.

cesc-fabregas

Interest in Cesc Fabregas has cooled apparently with his former manager, Arsene Wenger, telling us that he has been told he will stay in
Barcelona for another year.

Remember, Arsenal have a sneaky clause in his contract that will allow them first refusal if the Catalan club do intend on selling him overseas.

In other news, Manchester United will play AIK Stockholm on Tuesday the 6th of August at 6.30pm (G.M.T), without Wayne Rooney, of course.
