Tim Hasselbeck’s wife Elisabeth Hasselbeck Stays on The View (CORRECTION)

Elisabeth Hasselbeck, the wife of former NFL quarterback and current ESPN analyst Tim Hasselbeck is being fired from staying on her talk show. Hasselbeck has expressed the ultra-devout Christian beliefs of herself, her husband and her brother-in-law, Tennessee Titans QB Matt Hasselbeck on the show. It was a hot topic during Tim Tebow mania. Then again the connection between football and the political right wing is longstanding.

Back to the Hasselbeck update, US Weekly, HuffPo and all the other media outlets that reported her demise this past Friday were premature. We stand corrected.

From The Wrap:

Barbara Walters says Elisabeth Hasselbeck is staying on “The View.”

Walters said false reports that the show’s lone conservative was leaving began circulating after Joy Behar announced exit plans last week. But on Monday, Walters pointedly denied them.

“There is a particularly false story that keeps getting picked up about Elisabeth’s alleged departure, saying that we don’t approve of her conservative views,” Walters said.

“The truth is we love Elisabeth. I like her personally, and she’s just a wonderful person,” she continued. But beyond that, we value and appreciate her point of view. It’s important to us, because Elisabeth helps give the show perspective and balance. And believe me, she’s tougher than she looks.”

The extremely attractive, but also very nonsensical speaking Hasselbeck is still here after nine years. Elisabeth Hasselbeck has ideas and beliefs that are dying out in America, and the results of the last two Presidential elections convey that. The far right wing nuts in America are just diminishing. Sure, the show is called “The View” and it’s m.o. is about differing viewpoints, so there should be a place for Elisabeth Hasselbeck or someone like her.

Congrats Elisabeth Hasselbeck! You stay relevant despite lack of talent/ability. Remember, she only got famous because she was first a “reality star” (oxymoron) and the wife of someone famous.
