John Elway is Denver Broncos football. Probably always will be.

Yes, Jake Plummer had his moments, and Jay Cutler had his best season as a pro in Denver. And that guy they have now at QB is rather good, but this is still the Elway franchise.

As Exec. VP of Football Operations John Elway will join Greg Gumbel and Dan Dierdorf at halftime of the St. Louis Rams-Denver preseason game on Saturday, Aug. 24 (6:00 PM, MT), live on the CBS Television Network.

The Hall of Fame quarterback will join Gumbel and Dierdorf in the booth at halftime at Mile High in Denver, Colo. to talk about the state of the Denver Broncos. I’m sure, topic A 1 will be the recent suspension of Von Miller, what that says about the NFL player discipline and how that affects the Broncos defense.

Been a rough offseason of Texas A&M superstars, between Miller and Johnny Manziel. The Broncos are considered a favorite for the Super Bowl by many. Of course, predictions this time of year don’t mean much. How will the Miller suspension affect that? Interesting to hear the John Elway take on that.

I’m sure Peyton Manning will be a hot topic too. But please please no Tim Tebow. Please! Let John Elway move on from that.
