Rob Gronkowski will then lead the field of drivers onto the track as the official pace car driver prior to the race.
This past season Gronkowski became the first tight end in NFL history to have four consecutive seasons with 10 or more touchdown receptions, and he owns the NFL record for most touchdown receptions by a tight end in a single season with 17 in 2011.
By the way, here’s a video with some classic Tinder advice from Rob Gronkowski
“I’m stoked to spend Father’s Day weekend with my family at Chicagoland Speedway. Not only are we coming from all over the country to celebrate the best dad in the world, but I get the ultimate adrenaline rush of getting behind the wheel and driving the pace car to kick-off the NASCAR race,” said a prepared statement attributed to Rob Gronkowski.
