Thursday was the first day of a brand new gig for MASN reporter Julie Alexandria. She received a Gatorade dousing that was meant for Washington Nationals (and former White Sox super-prospect) Gio Gonzalez. The Nationals’ blanked the Cincinnati Reds last night, with Jordan Zimmermann’s performance worthy of a potential Gatorade bath.

However as you can see in the video below, the pouring was geared for Julie Alexandria instead.

Julie Alexandria is a Host and television personality who specializes in Sports, Pop Culture, Fashion, and all things Geek-tastic. She has hosted shows for: Fox Sports, MTV, Spike, Big Ten Network, TLC, SNY and CBS. (Here’s more of her career bio and pictures)

Julie Alexandria is also an accomplished voice over artist; her voice can be heard on national and global commercial campaigns as well as in animated series, video games, and online.

Maybe this will be a new Nats tradition? Showering Alexandria after big wins? You know how superstitious baseball players are. Alexandria took it like a champ; and continued the interview unphased. So kudos. By the way, Julie Alexandria is an ambassador for Xbox, coffee enthusiast and a Sci-Fi super geek. So it’s timely that her name is trending on the internet with geek convention C2E2 going on.
