Manchester United will be back in the United States for another preseason tour cash cow. The team will play in five different cities:
Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, Washington D.C. and Santa Clara, California, but they did not announce specific dates and venues as of yet. It had been previously announced that United will train on the campus of the University of California-Los Angeles.
The state of California is becoming a regular destination for the Red Devils who thrashed the L.A. Galaxy of MLS 9-0 at the Rose Bowl in 2014. In 2015, they beat Barcelona at the San Francisco 49ers stadium in Santa Clara, and also defeated Club America at Avaya Stadium in San Jose.
The USA, California in particular, has been really good to Manchester United, who released the following statement on their club website.
In the previous two visits to the USA, the club has welcomed more than half a million supporters to games across the States, in a country where United has over eight million followers.
The two-week tour forms part of the club’s preparations for the 2017/18 Premier League campaign, with further details regarding Tour 2017, including opposition teams, venues and ticket details, to be announced in the coming days.
