You really should see Katie Couric’s documentary about obesity

Katie Couric has a new documentary that you really should see out in theatres now. It’s pretty important. It affects all of us. And now is the time. It’s called “Fed Up” and it’s about how disgusting and unhealthy our food is. How complicated the system is, how utterly corrupt and morally bankrupt the food industry ism how it’s in bed with the government.

Some other of the many takeaways from this brilliant work Katie Couric produced:

-There’s added sugar in just about everything. Sugar is pretty much poison. Cola, pop, soda, Coke, whatever the hell you call it, is poison. Period. I’ll never have it again.

-Anything you see up in the front by the checkout counter is disgusting junk that is never to be consumed ever.

-It’s really vile, manipulative and amoral how they choose those more addictive than crack foods that appear by the checkout. And it’s F–ed up that you have these junk foods for sale EVERYWHERE; including electronic stores for some reason.

-By 2050, 1 in 3 adults will have diabetes. 1 in 3 adults is obese already.

-the fast food industry and cola lobbies own our government. Even some medical establishments. Doctors have resigned over how corrupt and fraudulent things have become.

-The “reduced fat” marketing ploy you see on all the food is complete horses**

Well, there’s so much more to say, but here’s a clip

On Thursday’s new Daily Show, Jon Stewart talks with Katie Couric

Katie Couric has made a very important tour de force, go see it.
