Annoying former Duke Guard Greg Paulus now annoying Ohio St Coach

Greg Paulus was annoying as a college basketball player with the Duke Blue Devils. He was also annoying as a QB with the Syracuse Orange. Now he’s going to be an annoying Ohio State basketball coach. Rick Reilly is even more annoying when he tried to create the “Aaron Craft is Annoying” storyline during this past NCAA Tournament.

Sure, I’m more than ready for Aaron Craft to just go away; but he’s not as annoying as Reilly or Greg Paulus.

Paulus was named an assistant coach under Thad Matta today. He replaced Chris Jent, who became an assistant coach with the Sacramento Kings last month. Jent left after two seasons as an assistant at Ohio State. Greg Paulus was added to the Ohio State men’s basketball staff as video coordinator in June of 2011. He spent the 2010-11 campaign as an asst. at Navy.

You know Paulus best from his four-year career at Duke and a one-year stint playing quarterback at Syracuse while pursuing a master’s degree. A three-year starter for the Blue Devils, he played on four NCAA?tournament teams, leading the team in assists in 2006, 2007 and 2008. You also remember what current San Antonio Spurs sharpshooter Danny Green did to him while he was a member of the North Carolina Tar Heels.

Yes, that is the face of Greg Paulus who ended up in the crotch of Danny Green.

Paulus spent the 2009-10 year at Syracuse as the starting quarterback, throwing for 2,024 yards and 13 touchdowns and 14 interceptions in 12 games “leading” the Orange to a 4-8 record, matching the program’s best record since the ’04 season. Yes, you read that correctly. Sad, but true. But hey, the Orange have made a couple bowls since Greg Paulus left. He was invited to the New Orleans Saints minicamp in 2010, but the Saints said: “ain’t nobody got time for that!”

Probably the dumbest thing I have ever read. Why don’t you find an actual story to write about.
