The Central Florida Knights are a program on the rise, up and comers, exciting upstarts. You know what else gets me excited and upstarted? Former Playboy Playmate Shanna Marie McLaughlin, who got her MBA at UCF and did a photo shoot in the college football locker room. For more on her go here.

Enjoy that? Yes, I’m sure you did. Now that we got Miss July 2010 out of the way, let’s get to the football.

Michael Jordan’s Son Jeff Jordan Leaves UCF Program

Michael Jordan’s son and former Illini point guard Jeff Jordan is done with UCF college basketball, the school announced in a statement late Saturday.

“We wish Jeff nothing but the best in the future,” UCF head coach Donnie Jones said in the UCF athletics news release. “We appreciate his contributions to our program and he will always be a member of the UCF basketball family.”

Miss July 2010 Shanna McLaughlin is a UCF grad, and her photo shoot last year for something called Axis Magazine inside the UCF locker room has gave us another UCF football memory other than Daunte Culpepper.

But they’re actually a pretty good program. Head Coach George “fake resume” O’Leary has turned out to be a surprise great hire.

Remember him? The disgraced Notre Dame head coaching candidate from five years ago. Well today he’s got a winning program and scorching hot chicks hanging out in his locker room.

“I approved the magazine,” O’Leary told a Sentinel reporter. “The guy called my office and basically wanted to know if they could do a magazine shoot. There was a UCF girl who had her MBA and all that. And the only thing I asked is, ‘Is that a magazine that is distributed on campus?’ And they said, ‘Yes.’ They’ve done I think four, since I’ve been here at least four, initial copies of football [previews] opening up the football season.”

O’Leary said he was shown a copy of the magazine cover.
