Plenty of names will be floated around in the next week-plus as the NBA trade deadline approaches on March 15th.  Here is a list of the five players I think will be dealt in the next week-plus and which teams might be interested in acquiring said player.  (I didn’t include Dwight Howard on this list because I don’t think the Orlando Magic pull the trigger on a deal.)

Video: Suns Steve Nash gets lap dance from Nicki Minaj

Steve Nash is playing at an All-Star level but could be dealt since Nash is in the final year of his contract and the Phoenix Suns are really struggling this season. As the NBA trade deadline approaches March 15th. the trade winds surrounding him swirl.

In the meantime, R&B singer Nicki Minaj gave Nash a little thrill. Minaj gave Steve Nash a lapdance during her set at Lil’ Wayne’s “I’m Still Music” tour last night at U.S. Airways Center

Phoenix Suns’ Future Hinges on Steve Nash

Like we are currently seeing in the NFL, the 2011 NBA off-season is up in the air with a lockout looming.  Free agency could be delayed and completely restructured depending on the new agreement reached by the owners and players.  Still, The Sports Bank continues to break down all thirty NBA teams to see what areas they need to address in the off-season.

The Phoenix Suns do not have the talent to compete in the Western Conference but are not ready to re-build either.  Steve Nash enters the final year of his contract and his future with the team will dictate which direction the franchise will head.

NBA Trade Machine Challenge: Free Steve Nash from Phoenix

The Sports Guy refers to himself as the Picasso of ESPN’s NBA Trade Machine.  Well if he is Picasso then The Sports Bank‘s Peter Christian and David Kay are the da Vinci and van Gogh of the trade machine (though neither would cut their own ear off while working on a trade… or at least I don’t think.)

In this new feature, Peter and David will play the role of NBA general manager.  One will propose a challenge to the other to make a trade happen with certain requirements and the other will accept the mission like he were Tom Cruise and explain why all parties involved would pull the trigger on the deal.  You can check out our first challenge when Peter blew up the Pistons roster.
