Branden-Dawson

During the Michigan State Spartans utter destruction of the Purdue Boilermakers today, you might have noticed a little punch thrown by State forward Branden Dawson on Purdue’s Travis Carroll. Tom Izzo coached players do not act like this; McDonald’s All-Americans do not like act like this. Watch the video to see the act for yourself. Of course, the Spartans deny it. Deny deny deny:

Michigan State sports information director Matt Larson sent the following in an email to the BTN:

“The angle of Branden Dawson that BTN had during the broadcast certainly makes it look like there might have been a punch. However, I’ve viewed an angle from underneath the basket and that does not appear to be the case.”

#59 Purdue Boilermakers: College Football 77 in 77

purdue-quarterbacks

Of all the “cock-eyed optimist” cliches in college football, none have more resonance than in “a place called Hope.” Where “hope floats,” in West Lafayette, Indiana. That’s not just because the Purdue Boilermakers coach is named Danny Hope; it’s also because the spirit embodies his always-uplifting demeanor.

THIS IS A GUEST POST FROM HAMMER AND RAILS! SB NATION‘S PURDUE BOILERMAKERS BLOG

If is a simple, two-letter word. It can imply so much, and it is being thrown in my face tonight. All week I felt that a Purdue victory would be a long shot, but that two letter word, if, gave me hope. If we could do this, that, and the other, victory was possible. I did it mostly because I am a Boilermaker. I always believe there is at least a chance something good will happen.

Redskins Ryan Kerrigan NFL Rookie of Month, Boiler Up, Purdue People

We knew he was going to be dominant at the next level. It was obvious when you saw how he tore up Big Ten offensive lines.

He is the first Redskins player to win the award since Chris Horton in September 2008 and the fourth overall to receive the honor (Horton, Fred Smoot in September 2001 and Champ Bailey in October 1999).

It’s getting to be a bigger week for Purdue Boilermakers fans, at least on the NFL level. Curtis Painter should start at QB for the Indianapolis Colts this week.
