It’s been 29 years since the Brewers have won a division title, a feet they accomplished once before in 1982 when they took home the AL East crown.

“For us to win the division I think is a little more meaningful than winning the wild card. It really means a lot. It’s special,” said Ryan Braun who had the three-run home-run on Friday to propel the Brewers past the Marlins 4-1. [Read more…]

Prince Fielder Earns All-Star MVP Award while Leading the NL to Victory

Milwaukee Brewers first baseman Prince Fielder entered the record books on Tuesday night as he became the first Brewer to ever hit a home-run in an All-Star Game. He did so with a three-run bomb in the fourth inning off Texas Rangers C.J. Wilson.

For helping the National League become victorious in the All-Star Game for the second year in a row, Fielder was named the All-Star MVP, another first in Brewers history.

Fielder finished 1-for-2 with three RBI’s while lifting the National League to a 5-1 win in the MLB’s 82nd All-Star Game at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona.

Fielder’s monster performance most likely has his agent Scott Boras salivating when he begins to think about the money his client could bring in during free agency next season. [Read more…]
