Green Bay Packers Could be Hurting at LB Position due to Erik Walden Arrest

Shortly after the Green Bay Packers’ 27-15 Thanksgiving win over the Detroit Lions, linebacker Erik Walden was arrested on a Felony Battery charge and awaits court on Monday morning.

The dispute reportedly took place Friday morning at 2:30 am at an apartment complex where the 26-year-old Walden had an altercation with his girlfriend.

If the alleged crime is true, the undefeated Packers (11-0) could be facing some serious problems at the linebacker position where the team has already been stretched low because of injuries. [Read more…]

Green Bay Packers Blow Out Detroit Lions in Thanksgiving Turkey Bowl

ndamukong_suh

No absence of storylines from the 2011 “Thanksgiving Turkey Bowl” between the Green Bay Packers an the Detroit Lions. You had:

-the Lions failing to live up to expectations/Matt Stafford throwing three picks

-Green Bay winning in dominant fashion 27-8, despite playing UGLY football for a half

-The Detroit fans getting a petition passed to prevent the crappy, overrated pop act Nickelback from playing at halftime

-Would this match-up of two potentially playoff bound NFC North teams live up to night back featuring two first place teams (San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens)

However, the real story here was Ndamukong Suh getting kicked out of the game early in the second half.

Aaron Rodgers’ Brother Jordan: Starting QB at Vanderbilt

Aaron Rodgers is on his way to having a NFL MVP type season. He’s put up incredible, video game like numbers as his Green Bay Packers are undefeated; and playing with an abandon that makes us believe the Pack could go 16-0. As long as the offense carries the load for the defense, like earlier today in the win over the San Diego Chargers.

His little brother Jordan Rodgers? His season isn’t going quite as well. However, he is a SEC starting signal caller, as he leads the Vanderbilt Commodores.

Packers Defense is Terrible, But Aaron Rodgers is Not

It’s no secret, the Green Bay Packers defense gives up a lot of points. Their horrendous play was on full display this Sunday, but it didn’t matter because their QB Aaron Rodgers is almost too good to be true.

Rodgers threw for another four touchdowns (24 on the season) to will the Packers to a 45-38 win over the San Diego Chargers. Green Bay remains as the NFL’s lone undefeated team at 8-0 and have scored over 24 points in every single game this season.

Packers Play Same Ol’ Record in 33-27 Win Over the Vikings (Rapid Reaction)

Nothing could stop the Green Bay Packers offense as they put up 421 yards of offense in a 33-27 win over the lowly Minnesota Vikings.

Like a broken record, Aaron Rodgers was great and the Packers scored a lot of touchdowns in their league-high seventh win. The Packers are now 7-0 for the first time since 1962, a year in which they won their eighth championship.

Rodgers also became the first quarterback in NFL History to record a QB rating of 110 or higher in seven straight games.

Aaron Rodgers Spreads It Around While Packers Improve to 5-0

Green Bay’s 25 unanswered points helped the Packers move to 5-0 after beating the Atlanta Falcons, 25-14, at the Georgia Dome on Sunday Night. Superstar Aaron Rodgers completed passes to twelve different receivers while fighting for his life behind a makeshift offensive line.

The loss was a spoiler for Matt Ryan who came into Sunday’s affair with a 21-2 record at home. Now, two of Ryan’s three career losses in Atlanta (the other being the 2010 NFC Championship game) can be credited to the Packers.
