Brandon Jennings likely to return to Milwaukee Bucks Saturday

On his weekly Thursday night radio show on Sports Radio 1250 WSSP, Milwaukee Bucks GM John Hammond said the chances Brandon Jennings plays Saturday night against the New Jersey Nets are higher than the chances he’ll remain sidelined.

After a six week absence, during which the Bucks have gone 7-11, Jennings return to the court will be major help to a team that is becoming the Eastern Conference’s version of the perpetually injured Portland Trail Blazers. But if Wednesday night’s 98-90 win over the Atlanta Hawks taught us anything, it’s that the point guard position is part of the offensive solution, not the problem.

Atlanta Hawks drag Milwaukee Bucks off cliff for 45 minutes

Since the 2009-10 season ended, the Milwaukee Bucks roster has shape-shifted more than Mickey Rourke’s face. On the opposite end of the spectrum, the Atlanta Hawks feature the same rotation that fought through a seven game first round series against the Andrew Bogut-less Bucks in last year’s playoffs.

Injury to Milwaukee Bucks point guard Brandon Jennings comes at worst possible time

By now you’ve probably already heard the devastating news regarding an already injury-plagued professional sports team in Wisconsin: Milwaukee Bucks point guard Brandon Jennings just had surgery to repair a fracture in his left fifth metatarsal and will be sidelined for four to six weeks.

Considering the amount of injuries to key players on the Milwaukee Bucks and Green Bay Packers roster, the Milwaukee Brewers may want to start attending as many churches, synagogues, Hindi churches, and mosques as possible.
